ICASSP 2015 Publicity Poster ‘Selfie’ Competition

As deadlines approach for ICASSP 2015, we want to publicise the conference to the signal processing community worldwide.  We’ve designed a promotional poster, please click here to download it.  To help get the poster out, we’re launching the ICASSP 2015 Publicity Poster “Selfie” Competition.  Post a selfie to our Facebook page which also shows our poster on your departmental or company noticeboard (or some other prominent place) and you could win a prize.

The competition.  Three prizes will be awarded, one per month, for August, September and October, 2014, for the best photograph submitted that month that clearly shows the competitor (as a “selfie”) and the promotional poster.

Entry.  The photo should be posted to the ICASSP 2015 Facebook page from the competitor’s own Facebook account.  A caption should explain where the photo was taken. Use the hashtag #icassp2015selfie in the caption to signify entry in the competition.

Judging.  The best photograph will be selected by a panel drawn from the ICASSP 2015 organising committee.  Consideration will be given to whether: (a) the poster is printed in colour, (b) it’s printed on A2 paper and (c) it’s displayed in a clearly prominent place.

Prizes.  Prizes will be awarded on 1st September, 1st October and 1st November, 2014, for photographs submitted in the previous month.  The prize each month is either a free ICASSP tutorial (value $150) or a free ICASSP banquet ticket (value $133), at the winner’s discretion.

Further conditions.  1.  Competitors agree that their photo may be used by the ICASSP 2015 organising committee for further conference publicity.  Winning entries, and possibly other entries, will be displayed on the ICASSP 2015 website.  2.  Only one entry is allowed per person.  3.  Entries that are unsuccessful in one month are still eligible in following months.  4.  Although termed a “selfie” above, the photograph need not literally be taken by the competitor, though it must show him or her.  5.  Prizes are not transferrable.
